Swissquote stands as an online trading platform based in, as the name suggests, Switzerland. Today, Swissquote announced that it had made a sponsorship deal with Genève-Servette Hockey Club (GSHC), a local hockey club. This deal will take place for the ice hockey season of 2020-2021.
The Mandatory Kind Words
As per the agreement between the two, Swissquote will stand to become a “Gold Partner” of the club, and will subsequently support the goalkeepers, in particular. Swissquote’s logo will be displayed on all matches of the season, as well, on the plates of Danial Manzato and Gauthier Descloux.
Philippe Rigamonti stands as GSHC’s executive director and gave a comment about the matter at large. He stated that the entirety of the GSHC team is delighted to gain this new partnership, and stated that everyone welcomes Swissquote into the Grenat fold. He did some mandatory praising, citing how Swissquote stands as the leader when it comes to Switzerland’s online banking space. Of course, Rigamonti stated that Swissquote and GSHC holds the same values, with both parties constantly striving for the best performance possible within the day-to-day operations of the two groups.
Going For What’s Popular
Ice Hockey, while not nearly as popular as football, is a very popular sport in Canada, the US, and Switzerland. Switzerland’s national league stands as one of the top three domestic services the world has to offer. With this deal, Swissquote fully anticipates that the brand awareness of it will expand, and is convinced that this platform is ideal for possible clients to be drawn to the online banking provider.
As many other major retail brokerages started to ink various promotional deals for major football clubs across Europe, a very lucrative business, Swissquote had opted to support its local country’s popular sport.
A Common (And Successful) Strategy
Some of the highlights of these football deals include Real Madrid CF signing up with easyMarkets, as well as Tottenham Hotspur now being sponsored by Libertex.
As for other notable deals with sports clubs, Samtrade FX had inked a deal with the Wolves, while EverFX opted to sponsor Sevilla FC. FXVC made a deal with Leeds United, and eToro signed up to be a sponsor of AS Monaco Esports.
There’s a lot of business to be made when it comes to popular sports brands and their sponsorship, as it’s one of the best ways to spread your brand across the masses. When a dedicated fan thinks of his team, he’ll inevitably think of the sponsor, as well.
