There are many professionals in the foreign exchange (forex) industry, but the title of ‘professional’ isn’t something one must look at lightly. Experience is king in this industry, and Brendon Bigelli has run the circuit more than a few times. Deutsche Börse’s 360TGTX has taken notice and hired the man last month.
Having made this move public with his LinkedIn profile, it was revealed that he joined the company in the month of September. He is now serving as 360TGTX’s spot and algo specialist, based in London, United Kingdom.
Before 360TGTX, Bigellie worked at the Royal Bank of Canada. Specifically, RBC Capital Markets. There, he worked in institutional forex sales for just under two years: Starting on November 2017 and ending on September 2019
Bigelli’s Past Ventures
Everyone starts somewhere, and Bigelli’s start within the forex industry was the role of business analyst in, what was known at the time, Thomson Reuter’s FXall business. Specifically, a business analyst for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA).
With seven months of hard work, Bigelli was promoted to the FX client relationship manager. Again, this was for the EMEA region. For over two years, Bigelli worked at this position for more than two decades, before moving over to HSBC Global Banking and Markets. That was in November 2015.
From HSBC, Bigelli worked for just over two years. From there, he was hired by the Royal Bank of Canada come 2017.
One Comes in; Another Goes Out
Bigelli is joining up at around the same time another member is leaving: Henry Durrant.
Henry Durrant had moved from 360TGTX’s e-FX liquidity management, a position he held for one and a half years, to a company by the name of FXSpotStream. Here, he holds the title of Assistant Vice President within the multi-bank forex stream aggregation.
Again, the announcement was made public via Durrant’s LinkedIn profile. It states that he joined the company this month. According to Profit and Loss, he joined on precisely the first of October and had been working in a sales position ever since
He will report to Anthony Brocksom, the Head of Sales within this new business.
The big players of the Forex industry keeps changing hands between companies, and it’s a rather exciting sight to behold. Where one man could work thirty years in the same business, the Forex industry allows people to jump across the world as they look for a better position. Coupled with that, the forex industry has an extremely high volume of money flowing through it on a daily basis. It’s a great example of the global economy at its finest, and the people that are on the top are indeed the best of the best.
