Revolut appears to be looking to attract consumers in Ireland using a 3% cashback offer on purchases with leading brands.
These new service ‘Shops’ enables users to search and browse products from over one thousand brands. They include local favorites ranging from Arnotts and Brown Thomas to Smyths Toys and Woodies; international retailers like JD Sports, Ikea, TK Maxx, Amazon, and Harvey Norman; and big brands’ online stores like Adidas, Nike and a wide range of luxury fashion houses.
Irrespective of the Revolut plan a customer is on, Shops reward users with 3% instant cashback for each purchase, if they start their shopping journey from the Revolut app and pay using their Revolut card in full.
There are no limitations on getting cashback from buying products in a sale, although the people who use Revolut’s BNPL proposition, Pay Later, forfeit the 3% discount.
The general manager of lifestyle products at Revolut, Christopher Guttridge, said:
“We’re proud to offer instant cashback, unlike other providers which can take up to three months. Shops help our customers get the most out of every penny with cashback rewards, or help them spread the cost of purchases for more expensive periods of the year, such as the Christmas holidays.”
