Dogecoin seems to be the crypto of the future with Tesla CEO Elon Musk saying that it is better than Bitcoin. Based on Doge blockchain explorer, a Dogecoin whale transferred nearly $1 billion worth of DOGE in two wallets in a single transaction.
The first wallet got 80 million Doge worth around #13.78 million while the second portfolio got 5.3 billion Doge coins worth $913.09 million. Elon Musk justifying that Dogecoin is a better payment appears to be true in case the whales can transfer billions of dollars for some meager cents.

For such a huge transaction, the whale just paid 4.49 Doge worth $0.76 as a transaction fee. The whale’s movements came after Tesla CEO Elon Musk alleged that DOGE may work as a better form of payment than Bitcoin. Musk made the comments during his TIMES interview where he was named Time Magazine’s Man of the year.
“Bitcoin is not a good substitute for transactional currency. Even though Doge was created as a joke, Dogecoin is better suited for transactions. The total transaction flow that you do with Dogecoin, like transactions per day, has a much higher potential than Bitcoin.”
After declaring that Doge is a better payment method compared to bitcoin, Musk confirmed that Tesla will accept Dogecoin for merchandise.
