Google Cloud and LVMH have confirmed their strategic partnership aimed to increase the speed of innovations and the creation of new cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Both firms will join hands to empower LVMH’s Maisons, which is the firm’s luxury brand. Through the partnership, they will create new, customized user experiences that boost long-term growth.
Both companies’ assets, creativity, technological capabilities, recognized positions in respective markets, and thirst for innovation come into play with the partnership. Also, working together will help Maisons’ human talent by introducing new machine learning (ML) and AI technologies that will boost the efficiency of business operations.
Furthermore, the new technologies will enhance demand projection and inventory optimization, while simultaneously elevating user experiences through customization. All this will happen while fulfilling LVMH’s strict privacy and security needs.
AI is expected to touch every part of the value chain at LVMH, ranging from product development to supply chain, to the interfaces with partners, staff, and clients. Hence, LVMH is expected to leverage Google Cloud’s top-notch cloud technology and its world-leading AI/ML tools to enable the development of some new business use cases at scale, addressing the biggest standards of Maisons’ customers.
LVMH is set to get Google Cloud’s support in boosting and growing its innovation history and culture, including the development of dedicated, inclusive upskilling and certification programs for Maisons’ teams. Moreover, both of these mega-firms will explore co-innovation opportunities and create a Data and AI Academy in Paris. The academy will help them accelerate their expertise and innovation in the involved fields.
In this partnership, LVMH will utilize Google Cloud to modernize its IT infrastructure components. Eventually, that will foster the security, agility, cost efficiency, and performance at the scale needed to support its business and economic ambitions. Toni Belloni, Group Managing Director, LVMH, explained:
“This new, unprecedented and significant partnership with Google Cloud is the reflection of our high ambitions in this area. Combining our best-in-class approaches in our respective industries, it will take us a step forward in the use of data and AI. For us, privacy, personalization, and luxury are synonymous, and that will always remain true. The new opportunities offered to our customers are exactly what our talented teams are working for at LVMH: a unique and unforgettable experience.”
Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud concluded:
“We are proud to be entering into such an innovative and extensive partnership with LVMH to power its innovation through cloud technology and AI capacities. Together, we can help drive the future of customer experience in the luxury industry.”
