Blockchain platform Algorand recently launched a new partner program for entrepreneurs and developers. This program is designed to help people building on its blockchain network.
Focusing on Algorand based applications
The blockchain protocol is designed by Silvio Micali, Turing Award- winner and renowned cryptography expert. The participants include entrepreneurs and developers building atop the network and offers guidance and resources for creating Algorand-based applications. The decentralized applications will be promoted if there is a clear business case for products based on the Algorand network.
The Algorand Partner Program (APP) will also offer experts in different fields like go-to-market guidance, strategy design, and technological implementation. Algorand is also planning to expand APP coverage further by adding more partners from around the globe. The aim is to help facilitate integrations with governments, enterprises, and financial institutions that may be interested in leverage blockchain solutions.
What does the program offer?
Selected system integrators, consulting firms, infrastructure providers and software developers accepted into the program will be provided access to organizations that seek resources for adopting or developing blockchain solutions based on Algorand. W. Sean Ford, Algorand COO, commented on APP and said,
“From DeFi startups to traditional financial institutions across a variety of sectors and geographies, Algorand’s Partner Program will help companies navigate their path to build enduring value through blockchain adoption.”
In the initial list of successful applications, Mentat Innovations, Nona Digital, Rocket Insights, Applies Blockchain, Looptribe, Koinbanx, Emali, IntellectEU, Cartan, Bluemi, and BLOCKCHAIN ITALIA.io have been included. Other firms that successfully apply for the program will be a part of an accelerator program.
IntellectEU’s project manager Chris Kelly said that the firm is excited to be a part of the APP given Algorand’s commitment to building its blockchain ecosystem and supporting its users.
Algorand’s new partner program follows the footsteps of similar initiatives in Europe and Asia. After receiving funding from Borderless Capital and Eterna Capital, Algorand offered $500,000 for funding entrepreneurs and developers who seek to develop applications on their decentralized network.
