Retail brokerage Juno Markets announced its partnership with NASDAQ, allowing the brokerage to use NASDAQ’s real-time market quotes while offering contracts of differences (CFDs).
The brokerage offers trading services for different assets such as stock indices, forex, metals, and even energy. But it will start offering CFDs to give users more trading options.
The partnership with NASDAQ will enable Juno Markets to introduce US shares via CFD trading. With this development, clients can easily access shares directly through mobile platforms or MT4 desktop.
CFDs are very popular when it comes to derivatives trading. With shares CFD trading, investors and traders can speculate on the failing or rising prices of fast-moving security instruments. However, they are slightly different from shares trading.
More options for clients
One of the clear differences between shares trading and CFD trading is the fact that trading shares require taking ownership of the underlying asset while you are speculating on the market’s price movement without owning the asset.
But CFD traders are still eligible to take part in all corporate actions of owning an underlying asset such as stock pills and earning dividends.
To kick-start the project at the initial offering, Juno Markets will be giving traders access to the 20 biggest U.S. firms based on market capitalization. The firms include Facebook, Tesla, Google, and Apple. It’s also in the plans of the retail brokerage to keep expanding its line of services by adding more shares to its offerings in the future.
Real-time access to NASDAQ quotes
Chief executive officer of Juno Markets, Arthur Le, has commented on the development.
Arthur Le, CEO of Juno Markets commented on the offering, “Juno Markets aims to become a multi-asset platform,” he revealed.
According to him, it will give clients quick access to trade any instruments without having multiple accounts.
It will also enable traders all over the world to invest in popular products they are familiar with.
He continued by saying there are several benefits for traders who will use the Juno Markets brokerage platform, but one of the main benefits is the direct access for clients to get real-time quotes from NASDAQ.
Juno Markets will also provide shares CFDs with no restrictions on short-selling and no commission on trading. The brokerage also wants to maintain high standards in the market, offering unique trading resources, reliable trading execution, as well as low-cost spreads to both clients and IBs. With the partnership with NASDAQ, clients will find it a lot easier to access CDFs and real-time market data.
Stock offerings in anticipation of market volatility
The new offerings are added at a time when everyone is expecting a volatile market during the election period, regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC), Juno Markets’ main business is based within the Asia-Pacific region.
