Google has announced that it will dive deep into the blockchain space by partnering with one of the popular blockchain projects, EOS. Google Cloud teams up intending to become its newest block producer as elaborated by one of its developers.
Google Cloud advocate and developer, Allen Day, said that the company has already initiated the process of becoming a block producer at EOS. Nonetheless, before the process is completed, Google Cloud must seek approval from the EOS community. As many commentators and analysts may already know, EOS already has 21 block producers. But, this project faced heavy criticism for its being extensively centralized.
Allen noted that organizations are starting to integrate DLT into their systems and that Google Cloud strives to guarantee that all the information stored on a public blockchain is reliably available and secure. Moreover, it requires to be accessed in a meaningful manner.
Block One Turns To A New Advisory Board Leader
The CEO of Block One, Brandan Blumer, highlighted that EOS is the project that is responsible for most of the public blockchain activities. But, that might be up for discussion since Brandan did not announce the method that he used to get to this conclusion. He also stated:
“EOS is a powerful solution for anyone looking to leverage the decentralized ecosystem with ease.”
In the end, Block One also introduced a new member of its advisory board. This new member is a former executive at Goldman Sachs, R. Martin Chavez. Mr. Chavez now becomes the leader of the advisory board.
