EBS stands as a technology service and electronic trading platform provider for FX markets, and made an announcement today. This announcement is regarding the connectivity between its execution management system, EBS Institutional (EBSI), and IHS Markit’s leading multi-asset investment management platform, thinkFolio
Integrating Complementary Services
Due to this new service, planned for the final quarter of 2020, clients of thinkFolio will be capable of accessing the unique execution functionality that EBSI provides. This, in turn, will see thinkFolio clients have their trading costs cut.
Alongside this, mutual clients of both EBSI and IHS Markit will be capable of benefiting from the sophisticated analytics, extensive cash, and currency management, as well as enhanced liquidity that thinkFolio provides.
Alongside this, portfolio managers and traders will be capable of splitting or aggregating their orders on thinkFolio, thanks to the workflow integration of these two systems. They can do this before routing the orders through EBSI in order to be executed.
The Mandatory Kind Words
Hugh Whelan stands as the head of EBSI, and stated that the demand for consistent workflow management solutions and advanced functionality has continued to grow among EBSI’s clients. With this link, Whelan stated that the experience of EBSI’s clients could be improved. This is especially so, due to how EBSI clients typically have thinkFolio as the system provider of their choice.
With the connectivity between thinkFolio and EBS Institutional, Whelan declared it a key milestone within the company’s strategy in order to expand the service suite that it can provide. Alongside this, it will also boost the overall efficiency that IBS can offer its client base.
Plans Of Expansion
Brett Schechterman stands as the Global Head of Business and Managing Director for thinkFolio, and gave his own public statement. He highlighted how multi-currency FX and cash management functionality had always been one of thinkFolio’s core strengths.
Even so, Schechterman highlighted that thinkFolio is constantly evaluating new opportunities to allow its clients to gain greater support in implementing their hedging and investment strategies. Schechterman stated that this is primarily done by offering a more diverse suite of liquidity venues.
With the enhanced connectivity with EBSI, Schechterman stated that thinkFolio would be able to give greater access to liquidity to its clients. This enhanced access stretches across time zones, currencies, and FX products, which ensures competitive execution and allows for dynamic trading opportunities, Schecterman said.
