Today, the National Australia Bank or NAB has announced its appointments of its Executive Leadership Team.
Changing Roles Of Rachel Slade
First on the list is Rachel Slade, appointed to the position of Group Executive Personal Banking. This entails end-to-end accountability in regards to home lending as well as the everyday banking needs of a personal customer. This involves the direct and digital channels and the branch network of the bank, as well. As it stands now, Slade is the current Chief Customer Experience Officer of the NAB. There, she has jurisdiction over the marketing, product, digital customer experience, and innovation teams. She will continue her membership within the Executive Leadership Team.
Slade has been working within the banking sector for over 20 years, having joined NAB back in 2017 as its Executive Manager of Deposits and Transaction Services. From there, she changed positions to the Chief Customer Experience Officer and became a member of the Executive Leadership Team back in October of 2018
Brief History
Before she joined NAB, Slade worked for Westpac, having done so for over ten years. Within Westpac, she held a range of senior executive positions within the company. These positions included Head of Diversity and Flexibility, as well as leading the global transactional services business. She further held a leading role within the customer-led transformation within the business and retail divisions.
Slade holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, having gained it at Macquarie University. Furthermore, she is a graduate of the Women’s Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
Nathon Goonan Part Of Executive Leadership Team
NAB announced that the Group Executive Strategy and Innovation was given to one Nathan Goonan. Goonan will have the responsibility of executing the strategies of the bank, as well as transformation and innovation agendas. Furthermore, he will oversee the acquisition and merger activity of the NAB. As it stands now, Goonan is the current Executive General Manager of Group Strategy and Development. Effectively immediately, Goonan has joined the Executive Leadership Team.
Since May of 2018, Goonan has been the Executive General Manager of Group Strategy and Development at the NAB. His responsibilities for the firm entailed the execution of corporate strategies, acquisitions, and mergers for the NAB globally. Before this, Goonan served as the General Manager of Corporate Affairs.
Goonan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science and Commerce, which he gained honors in. He did this at the University of Melbourne.
