The cryptocurrency exchange world is growing continuously. In that context, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao hinted in a wide-ranging ask-me-anything (AMA) on February 7 that his crypto exchange has big plans for 2020.
One of the most imminent and least explained was the hinted arrival of a new product known as the Binance Cloud. This new product will allegedly be unveiled in the next 10 days.
Binance Surges Into The Cloud
The specific components and contents of the Binance Cloud were not revealed. CEO Zhao remained tight-lipped throughout the AMA session on that matter. Nonetheless, the company is advertising for a Senior Cloud Engineer currently who will join the Cloud Engineering and Architecture Team.
The new position describes:
“large scale, massive parallel and highly available compute[r] systems on the advanced Cloud Computing platform”
It needs a person who can:
“improve, scale and automate this business-critical Cloud-based architecture”
How all this translates into a consumer product remains a mystery, but the answer seems to be just days away. Zhao then followed up the AMA session by tweeting a GIF of some clouds. He tweeted to increase the speculation.
Even before the cloud comes, the crypto community will be served with 50x leverage launched on February 10. Moreover, Binance is adding fiat gateways for currencies like the Croatian Kuna, Norwegian Krone, and Russian Rubles. Currently, crypto purchases are available with Russian credit cards.
Previous reports revealed that WazirX, the Indian crypto exchange owned by Binance, also hosted a successful Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) for its WRX coin via Binance Launchpad.
