The ‘Oracle of Omaha’ has made it known publicly that he does not support cryptocurrency in any way. At some point, Warren Buffett referred to Bitcoin as rat poison. Nonetheless, he is scheduled to meet crypto titans over lunch in the coming weeks. Some time ago, the entire crypto world celebrated when Tron’s Justin Sun won the charity lunch with the legendary investor.
The $4.5 million lunch will take place on July 25 in San Francisco. Justin Sun, who is also BitTorrent’s CEO revealed in an exclusive interview that he personally desired to become friends with Buffett. He also stated that he aimed to give Buffett real-time updates on what progress is taking place in the crypto world.
The TRON CEO said the aim of the meeting does not feature any attempt to persuade Buffett to invest in cryptocurrencies. Also, Sun will not even try to get Buffet to get involved in any digital assets. However, he will just update the legendary investor about all progress and achievements in the crypto space.
All eyes are now set on San Francisco to see how the meeting goes. Buffett has a strong opinion about Bitcoin but will meet Sun and his crypto proponent friends. They will be tasked with the agenda of trying to change Buffett’s opinion about Bitcoin.
In the past, Ted Weschler won two auctions and got hired by Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. In that connection, Sun was asked about any such plans but he said that he would not take such offers. He explained that he commits and dedicates his whole life into crypto space.
The TRON CEO added that he is open and looking forward to collaborating with Berkshire Hathaway in many opportunities that may arise. Besides talking and discussing crypto matters, Sun said that he wants to talk about technology and become quippy with the legendary investor.
TRON sits on the 12th position on CoinMarketCap list and observed 2.1% growth over the past day. Currently, the token has a value of $0.0332 with a market capitalization of around $2.215 billion. The 24-hour trading volume of the virtual token was reported to be $694 million. It had spiked by 3.54% over the past seven days but dropped by 0.03% within an hour.
Whether the meeting will make the token to surge or Buffett to invest in cryptocurrencies, only time has the answer.
