NZX, the only registered securities exchange in the whole of New Zealand, has certified Flextrade as an approved independent software vendor. The reason behind this decision was many folds, however, the fact that FlexTrade’s system is broker-neutral is a big reason why it was chosen. Their system also being a multi-asset algorithmic system helps in this regard.
It will allow members of NZX to have connectivity, both risk and stress analysis and all with a compliant system that is authorized by the exchange. It has support for trading strategies and execution systems. This increase in technology choice can only be helpful to brokerages in New Zealand, with some older systems still being in use. One such older system is FelxTrade’s own order management solution that was branded as FlexOMS.
The executive director of the New Zealand Exchange, Benjamin Phillips, says that
“FlexTrade’s integration with NZX trading technology supports our strategy to increase access and reduce barriers to entry to the New Zealand market, as we work to encourage greater liquidity on our market.”
FlexTrade’s software solutions preferred globally
The key reason for FlexTrade’s software being so popular is due to it being able to integrate with any OMS (order management system) available via FIX and API. The smooth functioning of any platform is generally seen through the lens of how that platform handles all, or a combination of, equities, FX, listed options and futures.
The multi-asset execution system, in particular, can be tailored to specific broker algorithms on a global level, allowing platform vendors to give their clients both local and international exposure. They do not stop companies from adding proprietary algorithms to the system as a whole, thus helping those with the required resources differentiate their own platforms in what is fast becoming a crowded market.
FlexTrade aggressively recruiting talent
This surge in popularity of FlexTrade’s software has been partly due to an aggressive search for business development talent. The company hired Paul Alves early last year as its Senior Vice President of Global FX Business Development, a move that many feel has already started to pay rich dividends for the company.
In further efforts to improve what they offer their clients, FlezTrade has partnered with OpenFin in an attempt to improve the workflow management that is so crucial to buy-side traders that rely on the firm’s FlexTRADER platform and its cloud-hosted EMS FlexNOW.
The New Zealand based operations leaders in Felxtrade are proud to already have the accreditation from the NZX as a certified ISV. Dan Endstedt, who is the Vice President of the tech firms’ Syndey office, has said that the company works hard to provide superior and cutting edge technology to its clients alongside best in class customer service.
The certification with the NZX will only help the company to provide more valuable services to brokerage firms with a variety of bespoke algorithms and improved services that are trusted by vendors across the spectrum of the South East Asian financial center.
