Slovakia’s central bank was marked with Bitcoin logo a in crazy way to protest local regulator hostility towards crypto traders and crypto companies.
Paralelna Polis is Bratislava based cryptocurrency activist group. They published a video portraying a protest against country’s cryptocurrency regulations, that aim to suppress
business in crypto relation.
Paralelna Polis activists projected Bitcoin logo on the buildings of locals banks, which ones didn’t expressed any positive charm for cryptocurrency ecosystem. The cherry on top – National Bank of Slovakia was projected with enormous size of BTC logo, with familiar one Euro logo, from 2008.
“Cryptocurrencies represent for banking system what Gutenberg’s press was for literature. As the church lost control over the manual rewriting of books, the central banks are losing control over new cryptocurrencies.”
Instead of embracing the unlimited possibilities of cryptocurrencies and supporting the emerging crypto companies, Slovak banks due to state regulators or unclear legislation remain in the darkness. A witch hunt for crypto companies and blocking transactions to crypto exchanges continue.
